| Amit Chaudhuri chats to Sarah Calburn on 28th of July |
|
The Troyeville Hotel will be hosting three exciting events in seven days. To encourage you to come to all, we're going to be varying the menus at the events, but guarantee great food, a fantastic atmosphere and lots of laughs. On 28 July we've got Amit Chaudhuri, one of the new generation of fantastic and fantastically successful Indian writers. He'll be talking to Sarah Calburn about India, Indian literature and his own work.
On 3 August, we've got one of South Africa's great literary sons, Christopher Hope, who'll be talking about his new novel, Shooting Angels. Set in a country much like South Africa, it's a state-of-the-nation cum murder story involving a victim who seems rather a lot like Brett Kebble. Antony Altbeker will be asking the questions.
On 4 August, Liz McGregor will be talking to The Times's sports editor, Archie Henderson, about Touch, Pause, Engage!, her exploration of rugby and rugby culture. Half-way through the Tri-nations and six weeks before the world cup... What more could you ask for?
Dinner is 1900 for 1930 and will set you back R165 pp plus drinks (made more reasonable by Spier's sponsorship of our wine). Bookings are essential. Mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it |
